Our Company History
John Walsh began as an "Automobile Trimmer" at the age of 14. He worked as an apprentice to Aaron Tinkelman at Durable Seat Covers, Inwood New York.
After a brief hiatas in the Military, as a "Sea Bee", he returned to New York only to help run & open the first Rayco Seat Covers in New York .
After a few years he returned to Durable Seat covers for a 22 year stay . Upon leaving, he moved to Greenwich to purchase the existing Bell Auto Interior and has had a successful business ever since, serving the local Connecticut community.
John has since retired to North Carolina, but prior to doing so he instilled all his skills, craftsmanship & values to his son Tom .
Tom has been around the family business for many years. As a child, every summer vacation was spent at the shop, since he was 12 . Upon completion of high school Tom decided to work full time with his dad ,that was in 1982 .
Tom is still providing old fashioned craftmanship and service to all his loyal & new customers.
Bell's Auto Interior has been in the same family since 1969. We are proud to uphold the same values of craftmanship that were instilled in Tom by his Dad .
The best part of Bell's Auto Interior, llc is when Tom speaks with a customer, the first thing they say is "I remember when my Dad brought his car in here & you guys did great work!!"
That is what people want from a local hands on business and that is what we strive for!!! Excellent Craftmanship with Great Customer Service!
